I had the pleasure of meeting Jose this summer when I contacted him for nutrition and weight loss counselling. Throughout my lifetime, I have tried many different ways to lose weight and have always failed. With Jose program I learned how to understand the food I eat and how my body works with this food. Jose did not restrict my eating habits, but showed me how to read labels and introduce healthier things into my diet. Jose taught me which foods encourage a healthier lifestyle and healthier living. Jose also showed me how to increase my exercise so that my body would work more efficiently towards my goal. Through Jose’s program I stopped thinking about weight loss and began thinking that I was learning to change my life.
To date, I am pleased to say that I have lost weight and continue to lose more. I truly do not believe I would have learned everything I did and feel so good about reaching my goals without Jose and his program. I have been working with Jose for over 2 weeks and I cannot tell you how his program has changed my life. Relaxation means different things to different people but the end result is a happier and healthier you. Relaxation is when the body and mind are free from tension and anxiety. It can be achieved through meditation, autogenics, and progressive muscle relaxation. Relaxation helps improve coping with stress, relaxation skills address anxiety from the standpoint of the body by reducing muscle tension, slowing down breathing, and calming the mind. Relaxation skills can be structured; examples are slow diaphragmatic breathing, meditation, and yoga.
